HDD

#1.1.

Fundamental notions & terms

eDVR storing constructure (VFS2)

eDVRL has a peculiar storing constructure, and its features are as follows.

(1)

It is possible to connect 2 sets of HDD internally (Internal, ATA Interface) and 63 sets of HDD

externally (External, 1 ports of eSATA).

(2)

All of the connected HDDs are recognized as one virtual disk, and eDVR supports upto 8TB.

To store the information of recorded data

Normal Partition

To store the data as normal recording schedule

Backup

(1)

Backup is possible only through (eSATA) and HDD for backup should be formatted as FAT32 type.

(Its type is indicated as [F] in Disk Manager.)

Disk Manager

(1)

When HDD is added or deleted physically, Disk Manager runs automatically after rebooting. If not,

you can run “Disk Manager” manually with moving “Menu

Utility

Disk Manager”.
