TROUBLE SHOOTING
Failures such as a di ffic ulty in star ti ng the engine, irregularity in func ti ons and abnormality in performance can normally be
prevented if careful att en ti on is paid to all opera ti ng instruc ti ons & maintenance procedures.
Should the engine not func ti on properly, check the following?
That the fuel system is in good condi ti on and fuel is fl owing to the engine.
The igni ti on system is in good condi ti on and the spark plug, sparks correctly.
Compression of the engine is adequate. (service dealer assistance required to diagnose)
FAILURE TO START
Correctly follow the star ti ng procedure, not se tti ng the choke lever or priming the engine can cause it not start.
Ensure that fuel is fresh and clean. Dispose of fuel from the tank, par tic ularly if over 30 days old.
Install a new, properly gapped spark plug.
When there is serious trouble with the unit, have your local approved service dealer inspect it for you.
POWER UNIT - PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION
Non Start, Power Loss or Sudden Stop 1. Fuel Tank Empty
2. Mixture not reaching carburetor
3. Water in fuel mixture
4. The Air Filter is dirty
5. Carbon deposits in cylinder or

LINE TRIMMER - PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION
Line will not advance 1. Line is welded to itself
2. Insu ffici ent line on spool
3. Line has worn too short
4. Line is tangled in spool
1. Lubricate with silicone spray
2. Add more line
3. Bump head on ground to feed line.
4. Remove line from the spool & rewind
Trimmer head is dif fic ult to rotate Build up of grass or grass wrapped

leave to soak
2. Take to authorised service/repair dealer
