• Do not ride on wet roads or in rainy weather. This could result in loss of traction and cause personal
injury and property damage.
• Adjust your speed to suit your environment so that you can stop the KICKWAY E1 at any moment.
• When riding with other people, maintain a safe distance of at least 2 metres from each other to avoid
collisions.
• Operating the scooter under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs is prohibited.
• Always keep your hands on the handlebars when using the KICKWAY E1. Using a smartphone or any
other object while riding is prohibited. Stay focused while driving your KICKWAY E1: other activities
such as making phone calls or listening to music are prohibited.
• It is strongly recommended that you wear adequate protection when using the KICKWAY E1 to avoid
personal injury in the event of a fall: shoes, helmet, gloves, knee pads, elbow pads...
• Avoid driving on roads strewn with debris such as branches, rubbish or small stones.
• Avoid driving on unpaved roads or in areas with obstacles.
• City traffic involves crossing many obstacles, such as sidewalks or steps. Jumping over obstacles is
inadvisable. It is important to anticipate and adapt your trajectory and speed to those of a pedestrian
before crossing these obstacles. It is also recommended to get off the scooter when these obstacles
become dangerous due to their shape, height or the risk of skidding.
• Do not ride your KICKWAY E1 on roads with obstacles or on slippery roads where there is a risk of
loss of traction such as snow, ice or water.
• Do not jump over obstacles with the KICKWAY E1 scooter.
• Always keep your feet on the footboard when riding. Do not jump on the footboard.
• Remember that you can injure yourself by losing control, colliding or falling off the KICKWAY E1.
• Do not use the KICKWAY E1 in an unsafe environment where flammable products, vapours, liquids,
dust or fibres may be present and cause a fire or explosion.
• It is prohibited to mount a seat on the electric scooter for use in a seated position.
I. User weight limit
• Main reasons for weight limit:
1.
Guarantee the user’s safety.
2.
Avoid damaging the KICKWAY E1 due to overloading.
• The maximum weight supported by the KICKWAY E1 is 120 kg (minimum weight: 20 kg).
• The weight of the user and his/her belongings must not exceed the maximum weight indicated in this
manual. Overloading may cause the user to fall or be injured and may damage the KICKWAY E1. In
addition, the weight of the user must not be less than the minimum weight of 20 kg. Failure to comply
with the recommendations may result in the KICKWAY E1 losing its ability to safely decelerate or stop
while going downhill.
• It is forbidden for more than one person to ride the scooter. The KICKWAY E1 is designed to be ridden
by one person only.
II. Maximum travel distance
The maximum travel distance varies depending on several factors, such as:
• Terrain: Smooth, flat terrain increases the travel distance. Sloping terrain reduces the distance.
•
Avoid driving on steep slopes.
• User weight: The user weight affects the distance travelled.
• Ambient temperature: Storing and using the KICKWAY E1 at the recommended temperature may
increase the travel distance; using the KICKWAY E1 outside of this temperature range reduces the
travel distance.
• Speed and driving habits: Consistent, low operating speed increases the driving distance; conversely,
frequent starting, stopping, accelerating and decelerating reduces the driving distance.
•
Do not start and stop suddenly.
• Do not use the KICKWAY E1 on slopes that are too steep. Accelerating on too steep a slope can
cause the engine and battery to overheat.
• When the battery is charged, the maximum distance that can be travelled is about 25 km.
