5.3.1 Downloading an AppGen Pro application from Host to WDT2200
This function downloads an existing AppGen application from the host to the WDT2200.
On the WDT2200:
•
Connect the RS-232 port of the WDT2200 to the COM port of your PC by a null modem
cable.
•
Press the power key to turn on the WDT2200.
•
Check the protocol and communication parameters of the WDT2200. These settings must
match the settings as defined in the configuration of the AppGen application program. If the
AutoSeek baud rate function is enabled on AppGen’s PTComm Manager, you don’t need to
be concerned about the WDT2200’s baud rate setting, but Protocol setting should be set as
Multi and the other communication parameters should be set to “N,8,1”.
On the HOST:
•
Run the AppGen program.
•
Open the job file which is targeted to run on the WDT2200.
•
Press
F4
key (or click the
Make Job
icon, or select
Built
Make Job)
.
5.3.2 Uploading AppGen data from WDT2200 to HOST
Having collected the data into the WDT2200, the user can upload one or more collected data files
to a PC.
On the WDT2200:
•
Connect the RS-232 port of the WDT2200 to the PC’s COM port PC with a null modem
cable.
•
Press the power
key to turn on the WDT2200.
•
Check the protocol and communication parameters of the WDT2200. These settings must
match the settings as defined in the configuration of the AppGen application program. If
AutoSeek baud rate function is enabled on AppGen’s PTComm Manager, you don’t need to
care about the WDT2200’s baud rate setting, but the Protocol setting should be set to Multi
and the other communication parameters should be set to “N,8,1”
On the HOST:

Run the AppGen program.
•
Press
F10
key (or click
PTComm Manager
icon, or select
Tools
PTComm Manager
•
Double click the
Portable
icon on right-upper windows and it will list all of the files which
are stored on the WDT2200
•
Click and drag the file which will be sent back to PC, dropping it into the left window at the
correct folder.
