Place the side support bracket into position and attach at the top with two
5/16-18 self-tapping screws found in the hardware kit included with this
mounting kit, do not tighten fully at this time.
NOTE: For mounting brackets on the 300 and 400 Sportsman use
holes shown in picture below. Only 2, ¼ - 20 J clips will be
needed along with hardware.
Using the ¼-20 hex bolts, flat washers, and lock washers attach the side
supports to the ATV. Place the side cowlings into position as shown in
Figure 3. Use the flat washer to the outside to keep the head of the hex bolt
from pulling through the plastic. Do not tighten fully at this time.
NOTE: Be sure to put lock washer than flat washer on to ¼-20 bolt,
this will prevent lock washer from damaging plastic when bolt
is tightend down.
