How to Use the Quartz Heater
This is Only relevant to heaters with Electric Quartz Heating elements
The electric heating system is designed with technology of infrared radiation.
Even if it is used in an unsealed and large size room, heating efficiency will be perfect.
Ensure that the house hold electric supply is earthed.
Switch off the wall socket and insert the plug into the socketand switch on the wall
socket.
Press switch - to start the top quartz tube.
Press switch = to start the other two quartz tubes.
Press switch - and = to start all quartz tubes.Heat load reaches to peak.
After use please ensure that all switchess are turned off then switch off the wall
socket remove the plug from the wall socket.
(As shown in diagram below ).
Maintenance:
Maintenance and cleaning must be carried out with the gas supply turned off and the
heater cold. do not attempt to clean the heater while it is in use.
your heater should be checked annually by a qualified person for safe operation and
to detect any faults.
If any faults are detected in use, stop using the heater and contact your dealer or the
advice helpline for advice.

to information about the recycling of electrical items. The WEEE directive, introduced
in August 2006, states that all electrical items must be recycled, rather than taken
to landfill. Please arrange to take this appliance to your local Civic Amenity site for
recycling, once it has reached the end of its life.
Electrical Safety
The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code:
GREEN/YELLOW: EARTH (E)
BLUE: NEUTRAL (N)
BROWN: LIVE (L)
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond
with the coloured markings identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows
:
The wire which is coloured GREEN & YELLOW must be connected to the terminal
in the plug which is marked with the letter “E” by the earth symbol or coloured
GREEN, GREEN/YELLOW.
The wire which is coloured BLUE must be connected to the terminal which
is marked with the letter “N” or coloured BLACK.
The wire which is coloured BROWN must be connected to the terminal which
is marked with the letter “L” or coloured RED
Always ensure that the Mains Cord is fixed into the plug through the Cord Guard
or Cable Clamp, (plug wiring diagram above), and that the Cord Guard screws are
tightened to clamp the Cord (outer sheath and inner coloured wires) into position
in the plug. Make sure that plug top is also fitted securely.
This appliance must be protected by a 13 Amp fuse in a 13 Amp type (BS1363) plug.
Should you need to replace the fuse, use only a 13Amp ASTA approved BS1362 fuse
(13A).
