Regulators:
1. The type of regulator that is used is
dependant on the connection on the
gas bottle which is used. This may be
dependant on gas supplier and your
geographical location.
2. Seek advice from your gas supplier if you
are unsure of what type of regulator you
will need.
Removing UK regulator fittings:
1. Check that the temperature control is set
to ‘0’
2. Push the supply lever on the valve down
so it is horizontal and the gas flow is
stopped.
3. Beneath the level is the release button.
Press this firmly and lift away the valve.
4. If the cylinder has a dust-cap secure it
now.
Removing Irish regulator fittings:
1. Make sure that the regulator switch is
flame side down (flame not visible).
2. Place your fingers around the bottom
of the valve and firmly pull up. This will
release the valve.
3. If the cylinder has a dust-cap secure it
now.
CLEANING AND CARE
• Ensure that the unit is cool enough to
work on.
• To remove the dust, wipe the appliance
with a dry cloth
• Never use abrasive powders or solvents.
• If the heater shows any signs of wear or
damage disconnect immediately from
the gas supply, DO NOT use it – have it
checked by a suitably qualified person.
• If the pilot fails to light this may be due to
a blockage. To clean the vent supplying
the pilot take a pipe cleaner and gently
insert into the vent. Twist the pipe cleaner
a few times to clear away any blockage
and then attempt to relight again.
STORING THE UNIT
1. CAUTION! ALWAYS disconnect the
cylinder before storing the unit. Store the
cylinder separately.
2. Store the cylinder in a well-ventilated area,
preferably an outhouse, and away from
combustible material. DO NOT store the
cylinder in a basement or high-rise flat.
3. The heater should be covered and stored
in a dry, dust-free area in its original
packaging.
