Before mounting, check the roof thickness of your
vehicle (suitable roof thickness: 25 - 60 mm). Make
sure that a 12V supply line has been laid from the roof
cut-out to the power supply.
Apply the sealing material in the sealing channel
of the upper frame, observing the instructions of
the sealant manufacturer.
Now remove the lamp covers of the inner
frame and connect the 12V supply cable for
the LED lighting.
Place the skylight hood into the roof cutout from
the top, making sure that the hinges are facing the
front of the vehicle.
Place the roller blind in position and fix it in place
using the appropriate screws. Then refit the lamp
covers.
Insert the provided brackets into the slots in the
skylight hood and use the provided screws to
secure them, depending on the thickness of the
roof.
CAUTION:
Do not overtighten screws as this
may cause the roof cowl to warp.
Select the installation position. Draw the cutout
size of the roof hood on the roof. Cut out +3 mm
(e.g. for 700 x 500 mm cut out accordingly 703 x
503 mm).
Remove adhesive residues and thoroughly
clean the roof cutout in the mounting area.
NOTE:
- The roof hood must be installed with the
hinge side facing in the direction of travel.
- Never step on the dome of the roof
hood!
- Do not drive with the roof hood open.
Before driving off, make sure that the roof
hood is closed and locked.
- Do not open the roof window in strong
wind or rain.
- Close the skylight when it is raining or
snowing.
- Use only clear water and a soft sponge.
- Sharp cleaning agents can attack the
plastic and make it brittle.
