Changing the engine oil
Drain the engine oil
The used engine oil should be lukewarm for it to drain off properly.
• Switch off the generator (see chapter "Switching off the generator").
• Allow the generator to cool down until the drive unit is lukewarm.
• Open the side housing (see chapter "Checking the engine oil level"
Point 1-3).
• Using a suitable support, incline the generator slightly so that the oil inlet
screw with oil dipstick points

points towards the floor.
• Place an oil drip pan (not included in delivery) with at least one litre capacity
under the oil filler plug.
• Loosen the oil inlet screw with oil
dipstick anti-clockwise and turn it out
by hand. Hold the plug firmly so that
it does not fall into the oil drain tray.

• Drain the engine oil (see chapter "Draining the engine oil").
• Fill new engine oil (see chapter "Filling the engine oil").
NOTICE!
Contact a specialist workshop if you have no experience with changing
engine oil.
Carry out the following steps only if you have a suitable room, e. g. a
workshop.
