Clamp the grapple to one of the logs on the trailer to keep
the boom in a safe position when preparing to transport.

6.11 Unloading and Stacking Logs
•
Extend stabilizers to support frame during loading and
unloading.
•
Position the trailer to provide a firm base for the stabilizer
pads before loading or unloading.
Determine a safe log stack location
•
Log stack should be on level ground.
•
Ensure stack location does not interfere with safe loading /
unloading of material.
•
Tall log stacks should be braced to prevent collapse.

Release the boom from safe position. Raise the boom over
the log to be picked so that the grapple is positioned at the
center of the log.
