4. Walkabout Mother Bins recommends between 5% and 10% of hydraulic
flow.
5. Upon arriving at desitnation, center the rear axles before pushing the
selector knob (4) to FIELD.
Front Steering
It is not usually necessary to change the front steering set up unless to control
the direction of the bin when backing the bin.
1. With the front axles centered, remove the hydraulic coupler (5) and install
on a tractor remote. After applying and holding hydraulic pressure the front
axles are now locked in position. This provides better control when backing.
2. When finished positioning the Mother Bin remove the hose from the tractor.
Install one end of the drain hose (6) provided in the overflow container as
shown. Install the male coupler end of the drain hose on the bin coupler to
relieve the pressure and retract the steering lock cylinders. Oil will flow from
the drain hose (6) when the steering cylinders are retracted.
IMPORTANT: Be sure to check the oil level in the drain container to
prevent overflow and spillage.
3. Be sure the pressure in the steering lock cylinders (7) is completely relieved
before towing the bin.
4. Center the front axles. It may be necessary to leave the drain hose
connected when first towing the bin. As the bin is turned the front axles may
force more fluid from the steering lock cylinders.
When the cylinders are completely retracted remove the overflow hose
from the bin coupler and the overflow container and replace the cap on the
container. Store the overflow hose for use the next time the bin is backed up.
Connect the pressure hose on the bin coupler (5).
