2. Important safety information
WARNING
Danger of blinding and eye damage
The optical radiation of the LED lamp can blind the eyes and cause
after-vision, if humans or animals look directly at the light source. This
can lead to accidents and eye damage.
Make sure that humans or animals do not look directly into the
illuminant and keep a safe distance of at least 2 m, if necessary use
diffusers between lamp and model or object. Do not use the lamp for
illumination purposes when shooting small children or babies.
WARNING
Danger of electric shock and fire hazard caused by short-circuit
or malfunction.
A short-circuit may, amongst others, be caused by defective cables
of by dampness or moisture. In case of a short-circuit the cable wires
may heat up to such an extent, that the insulation or even the wires
themselves will melt. This may cause fire.
■
Only use the originally supplied cables with the equipment. Only
these cables have been matched to the device and guarantee the
necessary safety for you and your device.
■
Do not operate the device with wet hands or feet.
■
Clean the equipment only in the way described in the instructions
for use.
■
Make sure that cables and cable wires are free of damage. This
could be caused e.g. by exposure to heat, chemical or mechanical
influences such as chafing, buckling, tearing, rolling over or
chewing pets.
■
Take care to prevent the equipment from dropping down.
If the device has dropped down on the floor have it inspected by a
skilled electrician before you switch it on again.
■
Should the equipment be damaged or defective, or if you notice a
scorching smell:
Immediately interrupt the electric power supply by removing the
batteries. Do not operate the device with a damaged housing, do
not repair the device yourself. Have the device only repaired by a
skilled electrician
■
Always keep your device in good condition, as specified in these
instructions for use.
■
For this device use only spare parts and accessories which comply
with the prescribed specification. See technical specifications.
WARNING
Danger of cutting and splintering caused by bursting illuminant.
Illuminants can break or splinter when banging against the device.
Splinters can cause eye and skin injuries.
■
Handle illuminants with care, to avoid breakage.
■
Make sure you do not touch the illuminant by accident when
mounting or replacing accessories.
