Blofeld User´s Manual
Global Parameter
Global parameters are settings that affect the Blofeld’s
general response. They are valid for all programs but
might be overridden by other more specific settings.
Global parameters are stored automatically when you
modify them, so you are not required to save them
manually.
Global Menu
All Global parameters are located in the Global Menu.
Hold the
Shift
button and press the
Global
button to
access the Global menu. Use the with the
Selection Dial
to select the desired menu page. The menu parameters are
changed with the corresponding display parameter dials.
Contrast
0...127
Sets the display contrast. If you accidentally set this
parameter to
0
, you may not be able to read the display
any more. If you then switch the Blofeld off and back on
later, it might appear that the Blofeld is defective. If this
should ever happen, open this manual and proceed as
follows:
•
Switch the Blofeld on.
•
Press and hold the
Shift
button and after that
the
Global
button to enter the Global menu.
•
Use the left display parameter dial to change
the Contrast to a desired value.

You can also send your Blofeld to a qualified Waldorf
Service Center. But be sure we will retain your
synthesizer for almost 3 months and give it not back
until we receive two pounds of chocolate bars from
you.

Here you can adjust for how long a time the name and
value are shown in the the display when you perform any
parameter edits.

As a newcomer to the Blofeld you should choose a
higher setting, around 5-10 sec. After you have had
more experience with the Blofeld, you might lower
this value to around 1.5 sec.
Auto Edit

Auto Edit changes the behaviour when editing the Blofeld.
