7. Operation
Fig. 11: Operating element.
7.1 Switching on and off
When switching on a luminaire with LUM
CONNECT MANAGE light management,
indirect light and direct light are switched
on with a time delay. The light control is
adjusted automatically to the reflection con-
ditions of the room.
Switching VTL on and off
X
Press the upper switch, see Fig. 11.
If you switch VTL on, the luminaire con-
trols the colour temperature and the
illuminance of the indirect light in the
course of the day.
If you switch VTL off, it does not have
any direct effect on the direct light. The
light control remains activated. LUM
CONNECT MANAGE controls the inten-
sity of the direct light if the intensity in
the detection range of the daylight sen-
sor has changed. The automatic switch-
on and -off of the luminaire also remains
activated depending on the intensity in
the room. The luminaire switches off
automatically if the intensity of the day-
light is sufficient.
Switching the direct light on and off
X
Press the lower switch, see Fig. 11.
If you switch off the direct light, the light
control is deactivated. LUM CONNECT
MANAGE does not control the intensity
of the indirect light if the intensity in the
detection range of the daylight sensor
has changed. The automatic switch-on
and -off of the luminaire remains acti-
vated depending on the intensity in the
room. The luminaire switches off auto-
matically if the intensity of the daylight
is sufficient.
7.2 Dimming
Dimming the indirect light
NOTE:
You cannot dim indirect light with
this luminaire.
Dimming the direct light
X
Press the lower switch and keep it
depressed, see Fig. 11.
After about one second, the luminaire
will change its brightness.
X
To change the dimming direction, press
the switch again and keep it depressed.
This will save the set brightness. The
next time the luminaire is switched on,
the brightness saved last will be set.
This completes the recalibration of the
light control.
