Mounting part 2 - Connection
Switchable light

Connect the enclosed connector
to the indoor installation as shown
in Fig. 12a.
Important information!
A simple switch is sufficient to
operate the standard light (e.g.
DUW 228).

Connect the enclosed connector to
the indoor installation as shown in
Fig. 12b. Please also observe the
circuit diagram on page 42.
Important information!
The operation of the dimmable
lights (e.g. DWP 228
/D
) re-
quires different operating units,
depending on the mounted bal-
last unit.
Never use a dimmer!
As standard, the lights are
equipped with a DALI ballast
unit. These lights can be oper-
ated using a switch (TouchDIM)
or by means of the DALI bus.
! WARNING
Danger due to electrical shock
upon contact!
When connected incorrectly, the
housing of the light may carry
electric voltage.

ductor must be connect-
ed to the housing of the light!
