Fault
The unit will not start
The unit starts but does
not suck any coating
material
The unit sucks material
but a pressure is not built
up
Possible cause
1. No mains voltage
2. Mains supply fuses have a too low
rating
3. Damaged or too weak extension
cable
4. Plant too cold (ambient
temperature under 5
°
C)
5. Operating capacitor defect
6. The safety switch automatically
switches the motor off if it over-
loaded.
1. No coating material or intake hose
not immersed completely
2. Intake filter blocked
3. Intake hose loose on intake valve
4. Intake valve stuck
5. Outlet valve stuck, dirty or has
worn parts
6. Intake valve damaged
7. Piston worn
8. Pressure regulator not turned
clockwise
9. Pressure sensor faulty
1. Outlet valve stuck, dirty or has
worn parts
2. Piston/packing worn
3. Pressure regulator not turned
clockwise
Remedy
1. Check
2. Replace fuses with 16 A slow-blow
3. Use an extension cable with a
minimum cross section of
3 x 2.5 mm
2
(230 V) or
5 x 1.5 mm
2
(400 V).
4. The plant must be warmed slightly
5. Replacement by an electrician
6. After about 2 - 3 minutes switch
the motor safety switch back on.
1. Fill coating material or immerse
intake hose completely in coating
material
2. Clean or replace filter
3. Clean connection and tighten
4. Unscrew intake hose, lightly knock
valve ball with screw driver or pin. If
unsuccessful remove intake valve
and clean
5. Dismantle outlet valve. Clean or
replace parts
6. Replace parts
7. Replace piston and packings
8. Turn pressure regulator clockwise
9. Have replaced by WAGNER

Attention
If none of the causes given are the reason for the malfunction then
the fault lies with the electric motor and can be repaired at the
customer service center.
