Operating
Instructions
1. Make sure the lamps, stereo, air condition, and all other accessories on
both vehicles are turned off.
2. Connect the short, black plug to the “live” vehicle with the functioning
battery.
3. Connect the red plug with the longer power cord to the vehicle with
the dead battery. Switch the ignition lock of the dead vehicle to the
“ACCESSORY” position.
4. Then start the engine of the vehicle with the functioning battery; the red
LED will turn on.
5. About 10 minutes later, when the red LED turns to green, start the
engine of the dead vehicle.
6. Once the engine on the dead vehicle starts, remove the plugs from the
cigarette lighter sockets on both vehicles.
7. Allow the engine on the “just-started” vehicle to warm up to operating
temperature before driving.
8. No recharging system will help a battery that is depleted, shorted
internally or malfunctioning, under such condition, please replace the
battery.
Troubleshooting
• Problem:
The green LED power indicator going to the operating vehicle does
not illuminate when the plug with shorter cord is inserted into cigarette
lighter socket.
Possible Causes:
a) The black plug is not fully inserted into the cigarette lighter socket.
b) The engine of the operating vehicle is not running.
c) The operating vehicle cigarette lighter socket has a negative
center post.
• Problem:
The green “power” LED illuminates, but the red charging LED panel does
NOT illuminate in sequence.
Possible Causes:
a) The blue plug has not been properly inserted into the vehicle with
the “run-down” battery.
b) The ignition lock of the vehicle with the “run-down” battery is not in
the “accessory” position.
c) The vehicle with the “run-down” battery has a negative center post
on cigarette lighter socket.
• Problem:
The vehicle with the “run-down” battery will not start after 10 minutes.
Possible Causes:
a) The battery in this vehicle is fully discharged or shortened internally.
b) There is not sufficient electric power in the “run-down” battery to start
the engine.
c) System plugs are NOT properly inserted in cigarette lighter sockets.
