When laying electric connections (fig.
3
, page 3), ensure that
– They are not kinked or twisted
– They do not rub on edges
– They are not laid in sharp-edged ducts without protection

Warning
Make sure the polarity is correct when connecting to a voltage source.

Using the cable connectors, connect the five loose ends of the cable to the correspond-
ing wires (fig.
4
, page 3):
– Connect the red cable to terminal 15 (ignition).
– Connect the yellow cable to terminal 15 (ignition).
– Connect the green cable to terminal 31 (earth).
– Connect the white cable to COM.
– Insulate the black cable; it is not needed.

Lay the connection cable on the dashboard.

Using the GPS speed switch
The GPS speed switch is automatically activated when you turn on the ignition. The GPS
speed switch then searches for a GPS signal. The red LED (fig.
6
1, page 4) flashes
while it is searching. After initial start is takes around 2 minutes until the GPS signal is
processed.
The red LED lights up when the GPS speed switch has a GPS signal.
If the GPS signal is lost, the red LED flashes until it is received again.

Caution
The system is switched on while there is no GPS reception. The relay switches
back to its initial state when the GPS signal is received again.
When the speed of the vehicle falls below 30 km/h, the connected system is switched on.
When the speed of the vehicle goes above 40 km/h, the connected system is switched off.

Cleaning and caring for the GPS speed switch

Caution
Do not use sharp or hard objects or cleaning agents for cleaning as these may
damage the device.
