Carburetor Adjustment

Remove the drive belt before making any adjustment to the carburetor. See

Belt

Replacement

. The blades will engage unless the belt is removed from the

machine.

The pilot screw

(a)

is fitted with a limiter cap

to prevent excessive enrichment of the

air-fuel mixture in order to comply with emission regulations. The mixture is set at
the factory and no adjustment should be necessary. Do not attempt to remove the
limiter cap. The limiter cap cannot be removed without breaking the pilot screw.
