4.9 Safety features
Caution!
Risk of injury when starting with the recoil starter.
Improper handling when starting can cause injury to the operator or third
parties.
• Only pull the starter handle on the recoil starter when there is suffi-
cient space and no one is in the immediate vicinity.
4.8.2.1 Safety distances
Note!
Material damage due to careless work.
Careless work can damage lines laid in the floor.
• When operating the machine, make sure that no gas, water or elec-
trical lines or pipes are damaged.
Note!
Material damage caused by vibrations.
Compaction work in the vicinity of buildings can lead to building damage.
• Check all possible effects and vibrations on surrounding buildings be-
forehand.
• Observe the relevant regulations and rules for measuring, assessing
and reducing vibrations, in particular DIN 4150-3.
Information!
The manufacturer shall not be liable for any damage to
buildings.

Safety features
Safety features protect the operator of this machine from being exposed
to the existing hazards. These are barriers (separating protective
devices) or other technical measures that serve to avert or reduce haz-
ards.
Warning!
Risk of injury due to modified or removed safety devices.
Modified or removed safety devices lose their protective function. People
can be injured as a result.
• Operate the machine only when the safety devices are correctly in-
stalled and functional.
• Do not change or remove safety devices.
• Reattach safety and protective devices removed for maintenance/ser-
vice (e.g. V-belt protection).
