ETUP

Removing the Mandrel

Remove the collar nut and drawbar nut from the end
of the mandrel shaft.

Turn the feed handle counter-clockwise until the man-
drel shaft disengages from the feed nut.

Figure 5-27. Remove the drawbar nut before remov-

Take care not to damage the
mandrel bushing when
removing the mandrel.

Pull the mandrel shaft through the front of the rotating
tool head.

Remove the four screws retaining the rotating tool
head, and remove the rotating head.
