 - Ths refers to the process of Bluetooth devces regsterng devce nformaton wth each other. 

The telephone base must be pared wth a Bluetooth enabled cell phone or headset before the Bluetooth 

devce(s) can be used. Dependng on the manufacturer, ths s also referred to as 

Bonding

PIN

 - By default, the PIN s 

0000

 for the telephone base and for most Bluetooth devces. PIN nformaton 

must be exchanged between Bluetooth devces before they can be used. Ths s also known as a 

Passkey

 or 

Passcode

.

Bluetooth at a glance

The telephone base allows you to par up to eght Bluetooth devces. You can have a maxmum of two 

pared devces connected at anytme (two cell phones, or one cell phone and one headset), but only 

one cell phone or headset can be on a call at a tme. 
Once you have pared a devce wth the telephone base, the parng nformaton wll be stored on 

the 

Paired Devices

 lst (page 23). To use a pared devce, t must be connected and on the 

Active 

Devices

 lst (page 26).
