Connecting to phone line
Plug one end of the telephone line cord into the jack on the bottom of the
base unit. Plug the other end of this cord into the wall jack.
Checking for dial tone
After the battery is charged press ON on the Handset. The Phone icon
will appear on the handset display, and you will hear dial tone. If not, see
In Case of Difficulty.
Tone/Pulse selection
The TONE/PULSE switch is located on the bottom of the Base Unit, near the
telephone jack. It is factory set to TONE. If you have rotary (Pulse) service,
set the switch to PULSE.
CAUTION: Use only the power supply provided with your 2425.
IMPORTANT:
For best performance the 2425
should be installed as follows:
In an elevated location, in the center of
the room, with no obstructions nearby.
In a location that is away from other
electrical appliances such as microwave
ovens, personal computers, or
televisions.
Setup
