MAINTENANCE

Cleaning the air conditioner

Before performing maintenance operations, turn
the product off and disconnect it from the mains.

Clean the Internal Unit using a dry cloth or one that
has been dampened with warm water (not above
45°C) and a mild detergent.
Do not use aggressive solvents or detergents.
The front panel of the Internal unit can be removed,
cleaned with water and then dried and replaced (fig.
10).
If the External Unit heat exchanger is blocked, remove
any leaves and other waste that may be obstructing it
and then eliminate residual dust using a jet of air or a
vacuum cleaner (fig. 11).
Never use water to clean the inside of the air
conditioner. The water might reduce the insulation
spaces, resulting in a risk of electrocution.

Cleaning the dust filters

The unit is fitted with filters designed to collect
impurities (dust etc…) from the air sucked in by the
Internal Unit.
It is essential that these filters be kept in a good state,
to ensure the efficiency of the air conditioner; for this
reason they should be cleaned after every 2 weeks of
use.

• Open the panel by pressing in the positions marked

by the arrows and pulling it outwards  until it locks
with a small click (fig. 10).

• Extract the filter by lifting the holding device

upwards to unfasten it from its housing, then
removing it gently downwards (fig. 12-13).

• Clean the anti-dust filter with a vacuum cleaner or,

if very dirty, wash it with warm water and mild
detergent.

• Make sure the filter is dry before replacing it:

leave it to dry in a ventilated place, away from direct
sunlight or other sources of heat.

• The air conditioner should never be operated

without filters.

Cleaning the activated carbon filters

The Indoor Unit is fitted with an electrostatic activated
carbon filter.
This must be cleaned at least once a month (fig. 14).

• Before accessing the electrostatic filter, disconnect

the unit from the power supply and wait at least 10
minutes.

• Open the front panel and remove the dust filter as

described above.

• Remove the electrostatic filter from its housing and

clean it, using a jet of air or vacuum cleaner only;
do not use water to clean the filter.
Replace the filter and its components in their
original position.

End of season servicing

• Disconnect the plug or turn the main switch to

OFF

.

• Clean and re-fit the filters.
• Wait for a dry day and operate the air conditioner for

a few hours to dry the interior out completely.
