ROUTER
OPTIONS
On this page you can enable or disable Internet services
and protocols.
• Block WAN
prevents other users pinging your modem from
the Internet. When Block ICMP is activated, your modem
does not respond to Pings it receives.
• Ipsec Passthrough
authorises the passthrough of IpSec
packets. IpSec (IP Security) is a security mechanism used
on virtual private networks (VPN).
• PPTP Passthrough
authorises the passthrough of PPTP
(Point to Point Tunnelling Protocol) packets. PPTP is another
mechanism which is often used on VPNs.
• Remote configuration management
is not active for
security reasons.
• Multicast
activates the passthrough of multicast traffic.
For example, enable this feature for your Chromecast or
Apple TV key.
• UPnP (Universal Plug and Play)
enables devices such as
Internet devices and computers to access the network and
connect to other devices if necessary. UPnP devices can
automatically detect the services of other UPnP devices
registered on the network.
For example, you can display the content of your smartphone
on your TV.
• NAT ALG State
: to maximise your protection, the VOO modem is equipped with a firewall whose initial settings block any
communications coming from outside. This security may affect the functioning of certain applications (on-line games,
communication applications, Internet applications or other server applications such as FTP or SMTP).
With NAT ALG functionality you can also enable a wide range of services and protocols in a secure manner.
• To enable or disable a service in the list
, select or clear the
Enabled
check box and then click
Apply
.
Modifying this page may adversely affect the correct functioning of the Internet service.
IP FILTERING
On this page you can filter the Internet connection by IP
address. The devices will continue to work on the local area
network (LAN) but Internet traffic is blocked.
• To filter the Internet connection by IP address
, enter the IP
range of the devices you want to filter, select the
Enable
check box and click
Apply
.
• To filter a single IP address
, enter the same IP address in the
Start Address and End Address fields.
Select the
Enabled
check box and click
Apply
.
To ensure that this functionality works, we recommend
that you specify the IP addresses of your devices in the
Network section and then under LAN (see page 8).
