2000 Volvo S & V 40
The Trip Computer shows seven functions. While driving, it provides information in different ways:
automatically and on demand.
With the function selection switch (see next page) the different functions can be selected.
Automatic ...
... on starting up, the display provides information on range and function selected if no warning is given.
... once driving,
- a warning comes on if the fuel tank is nearly empty
- a frost sign will be shown if the ambient temperature is in the icing range 23°F to 36°F (-5°C to + 2°
C).
- an audio signal will warn if the speed exceeds the set speed and the display will briefly show the set
speed.

... you can use the selector switch to call up information on:

- Average speed
- Current fuel consumption
- Average fuel consumption
- Ambient temperature
- Trip meter
- Range left before tank is empty
