• Never pour liquids on electrical devices, and never place any liquid-containing
objects (such as vases) on top of them or near them. You run the high risk of caus-
ing a fire or a fatal electric shock.
• Do not wear any metallic or conductive jewellery such as chains, bracelets, rings,
etc. when working with power adapters or chargers. Never under any circum-
stances connect power adapters and chargers to humans or animals.
• Take particular care when dealing with voltages exceeding 25 V AC or 35 V DC!
Even at these voltages, there is a danger of fatal electric shock if you touch electric
conductors.
b) Miscellaneous
• If you have doubts about how the equipment should be operated or how to safely
connect it, consult a trained technician.
• Maintenance, adjustment and repair work may be carried out only by an expert or
a specialist workshop.
Installation
The power meter PM-60V / 20A is either mounted magnetically or by using a holding clip.
a) Magnetic mount
Magnets are already incorporated on the rear of the power meter. Ensure that the mounting
surface features magnetizable material. Magnetizable material is any kind of steel, for example,
except stainless steel. A sufficiently strong enough magnetic force is required to hold the device
in the desired position. This is achieved by means of a highly magnetic material or by means
of a sufficiently large mounting surface. Vibrations and oils may lessen the holding force of the
device. If such environmental influences cannot be ruled out (for example, when an unbalanced
motor is running nearby), magnetic mounting may not be an option. Check by applying moder-
ate force, whether the device can be detached from the mounting surface easily and match the
mounting type accordingly.
The rear of the power meter is equipped with a magnet. Thus the device can be
attached to metal surfaces without the need of drilling.
b) Mounting using the holding clip
1 Remove the holding clip from the power meter before assembly.
2 The assembly should be in horizontal position. A vertical mount involve the risk that the
power meter will detach and may fall to the ground.
3 The distance to the centre of the drill holes is 16 mm.
Caution!
When drilling the mounting holes or when fastening screws, ensure that no existing
electrical cables, gas or water pipes will be damaged.
4 Drill mounting holes into the wall. Depending on the material characteristics (e.g., porous
such as masonry), screws and core holes may need to be adapted. If necessary, use
(plastic) dowels (not included).
5 The turn of a thread is cut by the screws themselves and the screw must be screwed in
straight by applying steady pressure.
In any case, always use countersunk screws. It may no longer be possible to attach
the power meter to the holding clip, if other screw heads are used.
6 After that attach the power meter to the installed holding clip. You will find the provided
eyelets used for a form-fitting connection by moving it slightly off-centre.

Operating instructions
PM-60-A DC Power meter
Item no. 1499842
Intended Use
The product is used to measure DC voltage.
It is possible to record currents, voltages and the power consumption in watts of an electrical
load. Currents between 0 A and 20 A are measured continuously. Currents of 30 A are recorded
for a maximum of 30 minutes, peak loads of 60 A for a maximum of 5 seconds.
This requires a power supply of 5 - 60 V/DC. The power can be provided by the measured circuit
or via an external power supply (not included in the delivery). The device should only be used
in dry indoor areas.
For safety and approval reasons (CE), you may not convert and/or alter the product. If you
use the product for purposes other than those described above, the product may be damaged.
Furthermore, improper use may cause risks such as short-circuits, fire, electric shocks, etc.
Please read the operating instructions carefully and do not discard them. If you pass the prod-
uct on to a third party, please hand over these operating instructions as well. Observe the safety
instructions! This product complies with the applicable national and European regulations. All
