Select charging current
Once the programme has been selected, you can adjust the charging current as needed.
By default, the charging current is preset by the charger for each programme. If this value is to be
changed, select the “Current setting” or “◄ Charge” subitem depending on the display and confirm the
selection using the middle button.
You can now select the desired charging current using the arrow buttons and then confirm the selection
using the middle button.
Always observe the charging instructions of the rechargeable battery manufacturer,
because it is important to know the maximum charging current of the rechargeable
battery.
Applying excessive charging current can affect the service life of a rechargeable bat-
tery and/or cause damage. In addition, excessive current during charging may cause
overheat and/or explosion of the rechargeable battery.
The charge and discharge capacity of a rechargeable battery is often marked with a C value.
The maximum charging current supported by the rechargeable battery is typically determined
by multiplying the C charge value by the rechargeable battery capacity. For example, for a
1000 mAh rechargeable battery with a charging capacity of 0.5 C, the maximum charging
current would be 1000 mA * 0.5 = 500 mA; therefore, the maximum charging current is 0.5
A. If it is not possible to determine the supported C charge value for a rechargeable battery,
please set the charging current below 1C for safety reasons and to protect the rechargeable
battery.
The charging time is directly proportional to the charging current, and the time to full charge
can be extended for different rechargeable battery types and capacities due to differences in
the efficiency of conversion.

Selecting discharge current
Once the programme has been selected, you can adjust the discharge current as needed.
The discharge current is preset by the charger for each programme by default. If this value is to be
changed, select the “Current setting” or “► Discharge” subitem depending on the display and confirm
the selection using the middle button.
You can now select the desired discharge current using the arrow buttons and then confirm the selection
using the middle button.
