VIEWING DATA
FOR THE RECHARGEABLE BATTERY/CHARGING SLOT

¼

This is only possible if a rechargeable battery is inserted in at least one of the battery slots and if
a charge/discharge program is running.

• With a

brief

press on the operating key, additional data for the currently active charging slots is

shown on the display.
Briefly press the operating key until the desired charging slot is indicated.
After a few seconds, the display changes automatically back to the main display of all 4 charging
slots.

• If you press the operating key for

2 seconds

, the display of the data of the charging slot remains,

e.g. if you want to control an individual rechargeable battery or battery slot for longer periods of time.
You switch to the next charging slot by pressing the operating key again for 2 seconds.
If you press the operating key

briefly

, the device quits the display mode of the individual charging

slots and returns to the main display of all 4 charging slots automatically after a few seconds.

Display description

The following information may appear on the display after pressing the operating key:

SLOT1 >C=50.5mAh
CHA* D=0,0mAh

• „SLOT1“ indicates the charging slot 1 („SLOT2“ charging slot 2 etc.).
• The abbreviations on the bottom left (e.g. „CHA“) indicate the present charge/discharge function, see

section „OPERATION").
„CHA“ = „CHARGE“
„DIS“ = „DIS-CH“
„CHK“ = „CHECK“
„CYC“ = „CYCLE“
„ALV“ = „ALIVE“

• The arrow „>“ indicates the presently running function („C“ = „Charge“, „D“ = „Discharge“). In the

above example, the rechargeable battery is currently charged (the arrow „>“ is located in front of
„C“).

• As described above, the blinking asterisk indicates that a charge/discharge program is currently

running.

• The value behind „C“ (in the above example 50.5mAh) indicates the charge capacity (the energy

loaded into the rechargeable battery).

• The value behind „D“ indicates the discharge capacity (the energy taken out of the rechargeable

battery).

END OF THE CHARGE/DISCHARGE PROCESS

If the selected charge/discharge program was terminated successfully, „RDY“ (= „READY“) appears
next to the respective charging slot.

S1: RDY S3: - - -
S2: - - -

S4: - - -

Remove the rechargeable battery from the charger. Now the charging slot is ready for the next charge/
discharge process. Proceed as described in the section "OPERATION".

ERROR MESSAGES

If the charger detects an error, an error message is displayed for the respective slot („ERR“ =
„ERROR“).

S1: ERR S3: - - -
S2: - - -

S4: - - -

This may be caused by a completely discharged battery or a defect battery or by contact problems
between the battery and the contacts in the charger (bent, dirty or broken contacts on the battery).
The message „ERR“ is also briefly displayed if you remove the battery prematurely during a charge or
discharge process.

CLEANING

Prior to cleaning, remove the batteries from the charger, separate the charger from the mains voltage
(pull the mains plug out of the socket).
Clean the outside of the product with a dry, clean, soft cloth. Do not use aggressive detergents as this
may lead to discoloration. Do not press down too hard on the display or the housing. This may cause
scratches and may damage the display.
Dust can be very easily removed using a clean, soft, long-haired  brush and a vacuum cleaner

HANDLING

• Observe all safety instructions in this manual! They provide you with important

information about dangers that exist when handling battery chargers and batteries.

• Avoid the following unfavourable ambient conditions at the setup location and during

operation and transport:
- Excessive humidity or dampness
- Extreme cold (<0?) or heat (>+40?), direct sunlight
- Dust or combustible gases, vapours or solvents
- strong vibrations, impact or blows,
- strong magnetic fields such as those found in the vicinity of machinery or

loudspeakers

• Place the charger on a level and stable surface.
• When setting up and operating the device, make sure that the mains cable is not bent

or squashed and that you cannot trip over it.

• Never cover the charger and the batteries! Danger of fire due to heat accumulation!
• Do not place the charger on sensitive or valuable furniture surfaces. The feet on the

device may cause dents or discoloration.

• Keep a sufficient distance to flammable surfaces or objects. Place the charger on an

inflammable surface.

• Do not leave the charger unattended while it is in operation.
• Check the temperature of the batteries from time to time during the charging process.

Excess heating is an indication of a defect battery. Remove such batteries and do not
use them anymore.

DISPOSAL

Product

At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory
regulations.

Batteries/rechargeable batteries

You as the end user are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used batteries/rechargeable
batteries. Disposing of them in the household waste is prohibited!

Contaminated batteries/rechargeable batteries are labelled with these symbols to
indicate that disposal in domestic waste is forbidden. The symbols for dangerous heavy
metal constituents are: Cd=cadmium, Hg=mercury, Pb=lead (name on battery/
rechargeable battery, e.g. under the trash icons on the left).
You can return used batteries/rechargeable batteries free of charge to any collecting
point in your local community, in our stores or in any other store where batteries/
rechargeable batteries are sold.

You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
