LONG STORAGE CONSERVATION
If you are not going to ride your Volta,
we recommend following the next
steps to prepare the bike for the long
storage:
- Clean and dry the bike.
- Check the pressure of the tyres and
inflate if needed (we recommend a bit
more pressure than normal, to avoid
tyre surface dents.
- Store the Volta in an unheated and dry
area, free of temperature changes.
- Volta recommends to jacket up the
bike for a better conservation.
- Always remember to plug the bike to
the power supply. The software of the
bike will keep the batteries in the best
conditions but saving the most energy
possible (the power supply only works
when necessary, using short periods of
charge to maintain the bike).
- If the bike cannot be connected, please
ensure that:
· Batter y level is closed to 50%
(optimized charge for the long storage)
· You must check the charge yearly,
ensuring that battery level is never less
than a 10%. If the battery charge is less
than a 10%, do not keep it unplugged,
or the batteries could be seriously
damaged (only with long term storage).
Never disconnect the service
battery during the long storage, it
could malfunction the long storage
software.
