If the following error occurs check that the proper SVM unit code is being entered correctly.
After Update is Complete:
•
Check Software version of rear lid control module using Vehicle Self Diagnosis.
•
Set Basic Settings in either Guided Functions of GFF.
Reprogram Opening Angle:
•
Open rear lid
•
Check whether event “implausible signal from rear lid switch” is logged in event memory.
If complaint is static:
•
Run a systematic electrical complaint check.
If complaint is sporadic or not logged:
•
Switch may be tripped as a result of breaker enclosure twisting, even if switch is not depressed.
•
Ensure switch for closing rear lid is seated correctly in the panel, and correct as necessary.
•
Ensure panel is positioned correctly without any tension. If panel twists when rear lid is closed, this may trip
the switch. As necessary, correct position of panel.
•
Ensure switch is working by activating it. If switch trips too easily, check whether it works when removed.
Ensure rear lid does not close, if necessary stop it from moving using remote control or pushbutton handle.
•
If necessary, replace switch.
•
If no mechanical failure is identified, discuss with customer the following senerio’s:
•
When opening rear lid, did user accidentally pressed switch for longer than 4 seconds when preventing the
rear lid from moving.
•
When rear lid was closing, did an object such as an item of clothing become caught under switch.
Finally, reprogram opening angle together with customer.
To do this:
•
Open rear lid manually to required height and then press close button until indicators confirm that required
height position is reset.
