Automatic Heat-Up Function
Each cooking zone is provided with an automatic heat
‐
up function, i.e. for a defined time the
cooking zone will be operated with nominal power.
The automatic heat
‐
up function is activated by setting the setting code to [9] and then pressing
the plus key. As long as the plus key is being pressed, an [A] will be displayed on the control
element display.
If the key is no longer pressed, the display changes from [A] to [9]. Within 20 seconds after the
activation a simmering power has to be set – otherwise, the automatic heat
‐
up function will be
terminated and the cooking zone will continue with setting [9].
If a simmering power has been set, the blinking display will be alternating between [A] and the
desired setting code of the simmering power for the time the heat
‐
up time is active. When the
heat
‐
up time has passed, the setting code of the simmering power will be displayed.
During the automatic heat
‐
up function, if the setting time (20 seconds) has already passed, a
correction of the simmering power is only possible with the plus key. If the setting is changed with
the minus key, the automatic heat
‐
up function will be terminated.
If a pan or pot is removed during the automatic heat
‐
up time, the time will be halted.
If a different pan or pot is placed on the cooking zone before the pot detection time (10 minutes)
has passed, the remaining time will be counted.
The automatic heat
‐
up function may also be activated with a missing pan or pot.
As long as the booster function is activated, no automatic heat
‐
up function may be activated
on induction cooking zones.
When this heat
‐
up time has passed, the power will be reduced automatically to the prior
selected power setting. The heat
‐
up time is dependent on the chosen power setting.
