Formatting an SD Card
Formatting a SD card will erase all of the images and folders that have been
recorded on the SD card. Formatting is not possible when the SD card in the
locked condition.
1. Set the mode dial to [
].
[Basic] of the set-up menu is displayed.
2. Select [Format] with the / buttons from
[Basic] of the set-up menu, then press the
SET
button.
3. Select [Execute] with the / buttons,
and press the
SET
button.
To cancel formatting, select [Cancel]
and press the
SET
button.
You should format an SD card before using it in this camera.
Formatting an SD card erases everything from the memory card including
images, videos, and also non-image data. Before formatting a card, make
sure to extract all valuable data from it.
Formatting is an irreversible action and data cannot be recovered at a
later time.
It is good practice to format a memory card occasionally. If you use your
SD memory card with another digital camera or another electronic device
it is bet to reformat the memory card before using it in the Vivicam 4000.
