4. Operating instructions
4.1 Unpacking and inspection
1.
Carefully remove the appliance and the accessories from the packaging.
2.
Check package contents for completeness and damage. Do not operate the appliance
if package contents is incomplete or appear damaged. Return it immediately to the
dealer.
3.
Dispose of packaging material in accordance with legal provisions.
4.
Store the packaging material if you want to use it to pack, ship or transport the
appliance. Store it in such a way that it cannot cause harm.
WARNING:
Attention! Risk of suffocation!
Packaging materials are not toys. Plastic
bags, foils and Styrofoam parts can suffocate children. Always keep all
packaging materials away from children.
4.2 Dry boil protection
1.
The appliance is equipped with a dry boil protection, which circumvents damages to
the appliance, if the appliance runs dry or if you accidently forgot to fill it with water.
2.
If the dry boil protection is applied, the appliance switches off automatically. The
On-/Off-switch (
I/0
) (4) remains in position (
I
) and needs to be manually switched
back to position (
0
). Remove the mains plug (6) from the mains socket and leave the
appliance for 30 minutes.
3.
The appliance cannot be switched on, as long as the dry boil protection has not reset.
The operation light remains off.
4.
Afterwards return the appliance into operation.
NOTE:
Frequent use of the dry boil protection will reduce the life-cycle of the
appliance.
