4. Special safety instructions
Warning - Risk of electric shock!
To prevent danger to life due to electric shock, please heed the following safety instructions:
•
Use this product in dry indoor areas only and never outdoors.
•
Never use, expose or put the product near to:
- direct sunlight and dust;
- fire (fireplace, grill, candles), water (water splashes, vases, ponds, bath tube) or heavy moisture.
Warning - Risk of burning!
To prevent the risk of accident and injury, please heed the following safety instructions:
•
Risk of burning!
Do not touch the product’s hot surfaces. Touch the product only by its handle.
•
Attention!
Never remove toast slices while the product is in operation.
•
Remove the hot slice of toast from the toaster carefully in order to prevent injuries.
Warning - Fire hazard!
The product works at high temperatures, please heed the following safety instructions to
prevent the risk of fire:
•
Never cover the product while in use.
•
Risk of fire!
Do not put any large slices of bread, metal foil, or metal tools into the toaster.
•
Never cover the toaster while it is in operation – it could overheat and catch fire.
•
Never toast bread with toppings or filling in order to prevent the filling from dripping and igniting.
•
Never wrap the bread when you warm it on the roll attachment. Plastic wrap melts and can ignite.
Aluminium foil reflects the heat and leads to damage of the toaster.
•
If the toaster begins to smoke, stop it immediately and pull the plug.
Warning - Property damage!
Please heed the following instructions to prevent property damage:
•
Place the product on a flat, sturdy and slip-resistant surface.
•
Never operate the toaster without the crumb tray.
•
Clean the product and all other accessories after each use.
•
