(GB) Operating Instructions
This product is a universal DC adapter to provide power for small devices,
mostly those from the field of consumer electronics. To avoid any
hazards, please observe the following instructions carefully:
The CPA is a lightweight, regulated DC/DC adapter which is ideal for the
power supply of high-performance consumer and computer devices.
The CAS set includes an adapter cassette transferring audio signals from
portable audio players (CD,MP3, MD) to car stereo systems.
Operating instructions:
B E F O R E you connect the DC adapter to the device or the cigarette
lighter socket, make sure that the output voltage (V), the output current
(mA) and the polarity correspond to the device you wish to power.
OUTPUT VOLTAGE (V)
Check first which output voltage is required by the device to be
connected. Then set the selector switch of the DC adapter to the required
voltage. Setting the voltage too high may lead to the malfunction or
destruction of the connected device.
OUTPUT CURRENT (mA)
Make sure that the connected device does not consume more current
than the maximum output current of the DC adapter permits. Exceeding
the maximum capacity may overload and blow the fuse of the adapter.

at different voltages is given in the
Technical Data
table.
POLARITY
Consult the manufacturer's instructions for the device or the diagram
engraved on the mains connector of the device to determine the polarity
required by your device. Now select the appropriate connector plug for
the device. The following 8 plug sizes are available:
2.5mm / 3.5mm / 5.0x2.1mm / 5.5x2.5mm / 3.5x1.35mm / 4.0x1.7mm /
5.5x1.5mm / 2.35x0.75mm
The plugs have polarity markings on each side (see illustration). Having
selected the correct polarity, insert the plug into the connector socket with
the symbols pointing towards each other.
CHANGING THE FUSE
To check or replace the fuse, unscrew the top of the cigarette lighter plug
and remove the fuse. See figure.
ADAPTER CASSETTE
•
Connect the adapter cassette to your player's headphones or line
out connection.
•
Set the player to medium volume.
•
Insert the cassette into the car radio slot.
•
Switch on the player and the car radio and adjust the volume using
the car radio control.
•
After use please eject the adapter cassette from the car radio and
store it in a safe place protected against excessive heat.
GENERAL NOTES
If your device does not work properly, disconnect the DC adapter
immediately from the device and the cigarette lighter socket and
check your settings against the device manufacturer's instructions.
We accept no liability for damage caused by improper handling
(e.g. incorrect polarity/voltage settings)
Do not open the DC adapter. Repairs must be carried out by
trained specialists only.
