Sound Isolating™ Technology
Originally developed for professional musicians, the new Shure SE in earphones
combines Dynamic Micro-Driver speaker technology with a sound isolating design
to deliver rich, full-range sound while blocking outside noise – ideal for enhancing
your listening experience with portable MP3, DVD, and CD players as well as all
other audio sources.
Sound Isolation
The in ear design works like an earplug to block background noise naturally. This
enables you to listen comfortably at lower volumes -- even in loud environments.
And unlike bulky headphones utilizing active noise cancellation technology, no
artifacts are introduced into your listening experience. Sound isolating earphones
are also much smaller and don't require batteries.
Studio quality sound
All Shure earphones are equipped with powerful miniature extraordinarily detailed,
rich studio quality sound.
Comfortable and tight fit
All Shure earphones are provided with a wide variety of flexible, adjustable foam
and silicon sleeves. This ensures that every user finds his or her ideal, securely
fitting earphone – quickly and easily. This makes SE Series earphones the perfect
choice for in-ear monitoring, sports and workout, as well as any other activity that
may cause other earphones to move or drop out of the ear. With a weight of 28 to
31 grams (depending on the model), Shure earphones are also extremely light.
The SE Series vs. Headphones with noise cancellation
Headphones with active acoustic noise cancellation may introduce unwanted
artifacts into the original sound signal, and are furthermore only truly effective for
low frequencies. Shure earphones on the other hand rely on sound isolation
technology and block environment noises effectively, before they even reach the
ear. Separate batteries or other external devices, which are necessary for noise
canceling headphones, are not required.
