MELON & MINT • (MAKES APPROXIMATELY 1/2 LITRE OF SORBET)
INGREDIENTS:
1 medium melon, peeled, seeded and cut up into chunks
8-10 leaves of fresh mint
DIRECTIONS:
Cut the melon into chunks (approximately 3cm x 3cm); freeze overnight in a
covered container.
Allow the fruit to stand for atleast 5 minutes before feeding through the juicer
Using the larger juicing screen/strainer, feed the semi frozen melon chunks
through the vertical shoot of your juicer (Halfway through, send the mint leaves
through with some more melon. Finish up with the remaining melon.
Pour juice into a container and freeze overnight.
If you prefer a creamier sorbet (more like ice cream) simply stir through a few
tablespoons of either yoghurt or cream to the juice before freezing.
BANANA & AVOCADO BABY FOOD
(MAKES APPROXIMATELY 500GMS OF BABY FOOD)
INGREDIENTS:
3 firm bananas
1 large avocado (without seed or skin)
DIRECTIONS:
Using the larger juicing screen/strainer, feed ingredients through the Oscar
Neo Plus Juicer and the baby food puree will excrete from both outlets.
BASIC MIXED BERRY JAM RECIPE
(MAKES APPROXIMATELY 3 X 400ML JARS OF JAM)
INGREDIENTS:
3 cups of mixed berries (frozen or fresh)
3 tsp. honey or stevia
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 tbsp. chia seeds
DIRECTIONS:
1. Using the larger juicing screen/strainer, slowly feed the mixed berries through
your Oscar Neo Plus Juicer
2. Over a low heat, simmer the berry juice for 5 minutes (you can add some of
the pulp if your prefer a thicker consistency)
3. Add the chia seeds and stir through
4. Remove from heat and rest for 5 minutes before transferring to the fridge
