The instrument is able to correct automatically the equivalent refractions (spherical

refr cylindrical refraction/2) within the range of +5D to -8D, as long as the

astigmatism is less than or equal to 0.5D. In any other situation, the instrument

requires external assistance. This may be:

- Cylindrical corrective lenses, located in the head of the unit.

- Glasses or trial frames.

- Contact lenses.

The program itself, depending on the information entered, will display how both
patient’s eyes can be corrected, hiding the corrective modes that do not apply, and

highlighting the most recommended mode.
