SMART 30

USING THE PEDALS

A switch pedal to control the sustain effect is supplied with the instrument. However any switch pedal available
on the market can be used with the instrument: the system automatically detects its polarity on the start-up.

Furthermore the optional 3-pedals unit can be used to control the sustain (right pedal), Sostenuto (center
pedal) and Soft (left pedal) effects.

Below is a brief description of these effects.

SUSTAIN

When this pedal is pressed, it simulates the lifting of all dampers as on an acoustic piano: the pressed keys
continue to play With their natural decay even after they are released. These notes will be silenced when the
pedal is released (released dampers). In addition to that, when the pedal is pressed and acoustic piano voices
are selected, the instrument will simulate the sympathetic vibration of the other strings.

SOSTENUTO

Similar to sustain. When this pedal is pressed, only the dampers of keys pressed during the activation of the
pedal will be lifted, and therefore the corresponding notes will continue to play. The following notes will play
normally. Releasing the pedal will release the dampers, stopping the notes that were still playing because of
the Sostenuto.

SOFT (muted)

While the pedal is pressed, the Soft function reduces the volume and softens the sound.

These effects are applied to all sounds except for

Sound2

in Split mode. For further information, see par. 3.3.

BLUETOOTH

The instrument is equipped with a Bluetooth system that allows short-distance wireless connection with
compatible devices. External devices can be used to run MIDI applications, in order to record or play MIDI
data.

To connect the instrument, first activate the Bluetooth of the external device and launch the application; then
detect and match the Bluetooth HX- device (the name of the device is followed by numbers and letters).

If there are obstacles between the devices, the operating distance may be reduced.



If there are more than one unit of this instrument, only switch the one you wish to connect to the mobile device.



Bluetooth connection is only supported with mobile devices running iOS operating systems.
