Safety instructions for the user:

Protect yourself against electrical discharges. Avoid body contact with earthed surfaces (such
as: pipes, radiators, cookers and refrigerators)

Keep children away. Do not allow other people to touch the tool or the cable; keep them away
from your working area.

Wear appropriate working clothes. Do not wear loose clothing or jewels; they could be caught
by moving parts. When working in the open air, it is recommended that rubber gloves and anti-
skid heeled shoes are worn. Wear a hair net if you have long hair.

Wear protective goggles. Also use a mask if the work produces dust.
−
Do not make the radius of your action too wide. Avoid adopting a position which is tiring for
the body; ensure that your support on the ground is firm, and keep in balance at all times.

Always be attentive. Look at your work, act in a sensible way and do not use the tool when
you are tired.
Safety instructions relative to the working area

Keep order in your working area. Disorder in the working area increases the risk of an
accident.
−
Take account of the working area environment. Ensure that the working area is well-lit. Do not
use electrical tools if flammable liquids or materials are nearby.
Specific safety instructions:

The machine has been designed to operate optimally 12 minutes per hour.
−
Do not move the machine by pulling on the electrical wires.
−
Do not touch the electrodes when the machine is operating. Their temperature may be very
high (900°C) and cause serious burns.

Do not slide your fingers in the grip: they may be caught.
−
The temperature of the grip's handles can smoothly increase in case of an extended heat
time.
−
Do not drop the machine.
−
Do not let the electrodes be hit; this could damage them and reduce their lifetime.
−
Do not catch the cables in the case when closing the cover.
−
Use only suitable extensions of type H07 RN-F.
−
Never store a hot clamp in the case; it might melt the plastic.
−
Cover the arms and the electrodes in the flameproof sleeve before storing the hot clamp in the
case.
−
Never close the case with the switch on.
−
Disconnect the machine each time you stop using it.
−
Switch the machine on (On/Off switch) before putting the electrodes in contact with the pipes.
