COVERAGE DIAGRAM.

General configurations

The detectors are configured via six menus; the single options are accessed and
set via the push-buttons:

PROG

 :  navigation push-button.

RESET

:   push-button for restarting the device.

SELECT

:  push-button for menu selection.

TAMPER

: push-button for setting the parameters.

Before configuring the detector it is always necessary to set the relevant param-
eters.
IMPORTANT: To configure the device, place dip-switch no. 4 to OFF.

SETTING PARAMETERS

After correctly powering up the device, keeping the

PROG

 push-button pressed,

press for 1 s and then release the

RESET

 button.

By-alarm passive infrared presence detector, 868 MHz radio fre-

quency connection, 1 input for external magnetic contact, powered

by one 3V CR123 battery (included).

The By-alarm passive infrared detector is a two-way radio device.
It is equipped with a terminal block input for connection with an external sensor (IN
terminal) that can be configured to receive normally closed (NC) or normally open
(NO) signals. The contact requires no wire connection and is powered by a 3V
CR123 lithium battery.

CHARACTERISTICS

• Power supply: 3V CR123 lithium battery included
• Frequency range: 868.25 MHz
• RF transmission power: < 25 mW (14dBm)
• Receiver class: 2 duty cycle <1% class
• Average battery life: 4 years
• Low battery warning: on radio interface 01729 and in the control panel
• LED:

- amber LED for menu navigation and walktest
- green LED for data reception
- red LED for data transmission

• Possible uses: 1 external contact
• Operating temperature: -10..+40 °C
• Dimensions: 110x60x46 mm

CONNECTIONS FOR EXTERNAL CONTACT

The terminal block shown below enables connecting external devices such as, for
instance, an external magnetic contact.

IN

: input 1 of the external magnetic contact (configurable as normally closed or

open).

: common negative input.

BATTERIES

The detector is powered by a 3 V CR123 lithium battery. When the battery reaches
the level of 2.8 V, the "low battery" signal is sent to the control panel; from this point
on, the device remains operational for approximately another 30 days within which
you need to change the battery.
• To change the battery the control panel is set in programming mode and then

the flat batteries are replaced by opening the enclosures. After changing them,
exit programming.

• To ensure a longer battery life, we recommend using batteries with an expiry date

5 years after the date of replacement.

CAUTION: Danger of explosion if the battery is replaced with one of the
wrong type.

DETECTOR CONFIGURATION

Programming the device requires configuring several parameters that affect the
operation of the detector, its wired input, supervision and LEDs.
It is also necessary to define how the detector's IN input is to be managed, ie
whether it should be considered as a single input or as a separate input and can
then be managed differently from the control panel to which the radio interface
01729 is connected.

N.B. If you manage the IN input on a separate channel, the infrared and this
input will each occupy a dedicated alarm zone.

DIP-switch

•  Setting DIP-switch 1 ON and pressing the

RESET

 button activates walk test

mode for 5 minutes; in this phase, whenever movement is detected, the amber
LED will light up for 2 s allowing you to check the coverage of the detector.
After 5 minutes, the device automatically returns to normal mode.

• Setting DIP-switch 4 ON cuts off the tamper inside the detector.

N.B.: DIP-switches 2 and 3 have no meaning, so their position is irrelevant.
