IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, consideration should always be given to
basic safety precautions including the following:
• Read all instructions.
• Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
• To avoid electrical shock, do not place any part of the toaster in water or
any other liquid.
• Young children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with
the appliance.
• To disconnect, turn any control to “off”, then remove plug from wall outlet.
• Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
• Allow appliance to cool before cleaning.
• Do not operate the toaster with a damaged cord or plug or after the
toaster malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. Return the
toaster to Viking Range Corporation service center by calling
1-800-246-5775 for examination, adjustment or repair.
• The use of an accessory not evaluated for use with this appliance may
cause fire, electric shock, or possible injury.
• For indoor use only.
• Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
• Do not place toaster on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven.
• Do not use toaster for other than its intended use.
• Oversize foods or metal foil packages or utensils must not be inserted
into the toaster as they may create a fire or risk of electrical shock.
• Do not cover the toaster or allow to touch flammable materials, including
curtains, draperies, walls, and the like when in operation. Do not operate
under wall cabinets.
• To protect against the risk of fire, do not put rice cakes or pastry items in
toaster.
• Clean the crumbs out of your toaster frequently. Do not operate the
toaster without the crumb tray in the correct position.
• Never leave the toaster unattended during use.
• Do not clean toaster with cleansers, steel wool pads, or other abrasive
materials.
• Never place foods in toaster that may drip fillings or coatings while being
toasted. This may make cleaning difficult and also create a fire hazard.
• Do not use outdoors.
• Do not attempt to dislodge food when toaster is plugged in
