Set the back deck between the arms with the slats facing
front. Install back deck by inserting hardwood pegs into
the angled slots of both arms. Once this has been
completed, all 6 bolts should be tightened tight.

Position the seat deck between the arms. With the slats
facing up, align the holes at the end of the seat deck with
the holes at the end of the back deck. Insert clevis pins
from the outside of the frame to the inside. Put a washer
at the end of the clevis pin and install a hairpin on the
end of the clevis pin.

Line up holes in seat and back section
Ta
ke the 2 ¾” clevis pin and thread it through the return mechanism with washers on both sides. Install it in the
remaining hole in the seat section, placing another washer on the end before inserting the hairpin.

Make
sure the wood dowel is pointing toward the futon. Do this on both sides. These blocks will make the futon front-operated.
