3.14 Managing and updating BIOS

3.1.1 Introduction

There are two methods of updating BIOS to the latest Viglen approved version.
The number of options made available for any particular board may vary depending on
BIOS Support, drive support and BIOS update file size. You only need to use one.



Built-in EFI Shell



Bios Update Under DOS

Latest BIOS files and Utility are available from Viglen FTP site:

http://download.viglen.co.uk/files/Motherboards/Vig870G/Bios

NOTE: Please review the instructions distributed with the upgrade utility before
attempting a BIOS upgrade.

3.1.2 BIOS Update Instructions Using the Built-in EFI Shell

Before flashing BIOS, please

prepare an USB flash drive

and

do NOT connect any

hard

disk or M.2

to this BRIX.

1. Download BIOS file from product page and unzip it. Save those files

(image.bin, flash.nsh, afuefix64.efi) to USB flash drive

2. Turn on pc, press DEL enter BIOS setting then go to Save & Exit tab. Set

“ME FW

Image Re-Flash

”

to enable.

3. Press

F4

to save configuration and exit. Select Yes.
