Resetting the System
Before checking your system for hardware problems, it is always a good idea to try
resetting your computer and see if a re-boot can solve the problem. Most software
related problems can be solved simply by re-booting your PC.

Press
Soft boot: Clear the system
memory and reload the operating
system (also called warm reset).
<Ctrl + Alt + Del>
Cold boot: Clear the system
memory, halt power to all
peripherals, restart POST, and
reload the operating system.
