Note
■
We recommend checking the magnesium anode
function annually. This check can be carried out with-
out interrupting operation. The earth current is tested
with an anode tester.
■
A maintenance-free impressed current anode is
available as an accessory.
Testing the anode earth current with an anode tester
A
Fig. 22
1.
Open the DHW heat pump (see page 25).
2.
Disconnect earth cable
A
from magnesium anode
tab.
3.
Connect the tester in series between the tab and
earth cable and measure the current:
■
> 0.3 mA:
Magnesium anode is OK.
■
< 0.3 mA:
Carry out a visual inspection of the magnesium
anode.
4.
If a visual inspection is necessary, drain the DHW
cylinder down to the installation height of the mag-
nesium anode via the drain outlet (see page 9).
Note
Replace the magnesium anode if the visual inspec-
tion indicates that it has been reduced to a diame-
ter of 10 to 15 mm.
Checking the connections on the side of the heat generator or the solar
thermal system for leaks (type WWKS only)
Checking the fan for free rotation
Danger
Unintentional starting of the fan can lead to seri-
ous injuries.
Isolate the appliance from the power supply,
check that it is no longer live and safeguard
against reconnection.
Cleaning the fan
Clean the fan with a brush or bottle brush, for example.
!
Please note
Removing counterweights from the impeller cau-
ses imbalance, a higher level of noise and wear
on the fan.
Never
remove counterweights from the impeller.
