A very pretty construction-set of a burning half-timbered house for sizes H0, N and Z
exists at the building-collection of Vollmer. While the roof framework of the house has
burned down in a large measure, in the lower part of the building the impression of a still
flickering fire can be suggested. In addition to the burning house, a burning factory (H0) is
available from Vollmer. The firm Pola offers a burning revenue-office (H0). The impres-
sion of the electronic fire can be improved by using a steam-maker from Seuthe. The con-
structionsets from Vollmer are already prepared for this use. The scene became excep-
tionally realistic by using fire-engines, police-cars or ambulances

Offene Feuerstellen
Ein Beispiel für eine offene Feuerstelle ist ein Lagerfeuer. Hierzu ist an der vorgesehenen
Stelle der Anlagen- bzw. Dioramenplatte ein Loch zu bohren. Dessen Durchmesser ist so
zu wählen, daß sich die gewünschte Anzahl an Lämpchen nebeneinander hineinpressen
lassen. Die Lämpchenkuppen müssen mit der Grundplatte plan abschließen. Wird das
Loch anschließend mit einem Stück glasklarem Plexiglas abgedeckt und werden über
dem abgedeckten Loch kleine, maßstäbliche (Natur-) Äste aufgeschichtet und mit trans-
parentem Alleskleber ausgegossen, so entsteht eine realistisch wirkende Nachbildung
eines Lagerfeuers.
Open fireplaces
One example of an open fireplace is a camp fire. To this a hole have to be bored at the
intended place of the plate. You have to choose the diameter so, that the wished number
of lamps can be pressed in side by side. The lamps have to end plain with the plate. If you
close the hole with a peace of transparent plastic and stack up little scaled twigs, which will
be filled up with transparent adhesive, a realistic copy of a camp fire can be created.

Bei der Beleuchtung eines Ofens mit dem Brandflackern wird eine optimale Lichtstreuung
erziehlt, indem man zerknüllte Haushalts-Aluminiumfolie als Reflektor verwendet.
Stoves
When lighting up a stove with the electronic fire, an optimal light-strewing can be reached
by using crumpled aluminum-foil.
Weitere Tips
Sollte die Leuchtkraft der Glühlampen für Ihren persönlichen Geschmack zu stark sein,
so läßt sie sich durch Verminderung der Betriebsspannung des Moduls reduzieren. Hier-
zu kann z.B. der Fahrspannungsausgang eines Märklin-H0-Transformators genutzt wer-
den.
Further tips
If the luminous power is to strong in your own taste, you can reduce it by decreasing the
working voltage of the modul. To this you can use for example the drivingvoltage-output of
a Märklin-H0-transformer.

bietet einen noch nie dagewesenen realisti-
schen Effekt eines lodernden Feuers. Bis zu sieben rot und gelb leuchtende Miniatur-
glühlampen flackern jeweils in unterschiedlichem Rhythmus, so daß dem Betrachter der
täuschend echte Eindruck von brennendem Feuer suggeriert wird. Noch realistischer
wird das Brandflackern durch eine stets brennende rote Glühlampe (liegt bei). Die Flak-
kerintensität kann stufenlos dem persönlichen Geschmack und dem Anwendungsfall

The electronic fire 5217 from
Viessmann
