MAINTENANCE

Warning: Remove the plug from the socket before carrying out any  adjustment,  servicing

or maintenance.

1. Keep the power tool ventilation slots clean and free from obstructions. If available,  blow  compressed
air  into  the  vents  to  clear  any  internal  dust  (safety  goggles  must  be  worn  when  undertaking  this
process).
2. Never use water or chemical cleaners to clean your power tool. Wipe clean with a dry cloth.
3. Always store your power tool and accessories in a dry place.
4. If you see some sparks flashing in the ventilation slots, this is normal and will not  damage your  power
tool.
5.  The carbon brushes should  be  inspected  frequently  when  power  tools are  used  continuously.    To
inspecting or replacing the carbon brushes, use a screwdriver to remove the carbon  brush  caps (See
Fig 5). Take out the carbon brushes. If it becomes worn to or near “wear limit” (See Fig 6),  replacing  the
new ones, reinstall the holder cap firmly.

Note:

If your power tool runs sporadically, loses power, makes unusual noises or runs at a  reduced  speed,

check the carbon brushes. To continue using the power tool in this condition will  permanently  damage
your power tool.

Both carbon brushes should be replaced at the same time. Use only identical carbon  brushes.  Keep

the carbon brushes clean and free to slip in the holders.
6. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its  service  agent or similarly
qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

TROUBLESHOOTING

1. If your power tool will not operate, check the power at the mains  plug, or check  the  carbon  brushes.
2. If your power tool doesn’t work properly, check that sanding sheet be  worn away,  replace it with a
new one if worn away.
3. If a fault can’t be rectified, return the power tool to an authorized dealer for repair.
