SPECIAL EFFECTS PLAYBACK
The following
functions are available. Audio output Is muted during speclal effects playback.
You can adjust the speed by using the SHUTTLE
the PLAY button to begin playback.

Press the PAUSE/SHUTTLE HOLD button to
obtain a still picture.
q
Turn the SHUTTLE ring to the angle for the
desired playback speed.
l
If the SHUTTLE ring is released, it will come back
to the centre position and still mode will be
resumed.
l
Pressing the PAUSE/SHUTTLE HOLD button while
turning and holding the SHUTTLE ring in step 3,
continues the playback speed you selected even
though the SHUTTLE ring is released.
You can also change the playback speed without en-
tering the PAUSE mode by turning the SHUTTLE ring
during playback.
If you release the ring, it will come back to the centre
position, and normal playback will resume.

SP mode.

If you press the PAUSE/SHUTTLE HOLD button during playback, you will obtain a still picture.
Press the PAUSE/SHUTTLE HOLD button again to resume the normal playback mode.

A few noise bars or vertical movement may appear during still playback.

can use the JOG dial to advance the tape frame by frame.

While the VCR is playing a tape, press the PAUSE/SHUTTLE HOLD button to freeze the picture on screen.
•I Slightly rotate the JOG dial clockwise to advance the tape forward. Slightly rotate it counterclockwise to reverse the
tape: To obtain a frame by frame picture continuously, keep rotating the JOG dial.

To resume normal playback, press the PLAY button.

When switching between forward and reverse playback, noise bars may appear on the picture.
l
A few noise bars or vertical movement may appear during frame by frame playback.
